Morning cup of goodness…
I am humbly reminded every day that I know nothing. Sometimes several times a day. I love when I am reminded of that. I welcome it like a juicy, messy, sweet, piece of fruit, nourishing my soul. It took years to befriend my ego. Meditation has become a life long journey and daily practice of mine. I started meditating when I was 16, shortly after my Dad took his own life, and I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. The benefits of meditation for me, were lifesaving.
I’ve learned that your only limit IS your MIND. You must train your mind to be stronger than your emotions and habits, or else you’ll lose yourself every time. What consumes our mind, controls our life! Your mind believes everything you tell it, so you must feed it with hourly love.
Take a moment to do the most important thing you will do all day…Extend your deepest gratitude for this moment, and for all the many blessings in your life.

Simple Meditation for Beginners:
- Set a timer for 3 to 5 minutes
- With your eyes open or closed, sit upright with your spine straight, but not stiff. You can kneel, cross your legs, or sit in a chair with your feet on the floor. Place your hands on your knees, or thighs, palms turned upward.
- Inhale and exhale, slowly and deeply, three times. Focusing on relaxing your body as you breathe out. Allow your breath to come in and out with no attempt to control it. Simply observe and feel your breath as it flows in and out.
- Stay present and aware of your body and breath. When thoughts arise, which they invariably will, just notice them and let them go, coming back to your awareness of your body and breath.
In the beginning it might be a struggle. Your mind and body may resist if it feels unnatural. With practice, you’ll notice changes with your mind resisting less and less. You will eventually look forward to sitting in peace.
LoVe is service. Be of service to LoVing yourself.
